Terri Campesta has worked with children and families for over 25 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who began her training as a Child Custody Evaluator in 2004. Ms. Campesta promotes the incorporation of child development expertise in the detailed Parenting Plan contained in each of her in-depth Child Custody Evaluation Reports.

In addition to her work as a Custody Evaluator, Ms. Campesta is also a Qualified Parent Coordinator (La. R.S. 9:358.3). She provides parent education, constructive communication techniques, and strategies to implement the existing Parenting Plan. If requested, Ms. Campesta provides the Court and each party’s attorney with status reports to keep those involved updated.

In the capacity of a Qualified Domestic Mediator (La. R.S. 9:334), Ms. Campesta assists divorcing and separating parents with child custody, parenting time, simple property division, and planning for their future. A prepared Memorandum of Understanding is provided for the participants at the end of the mediation process.

Ms. Campesta provides psychotherapy to couples, families, and individuals aged 10 and over. She provides parenting skills training as well as education regarding better co-parenting techniques to interested parties wishing to improve these skills. Ms. Campesta is available for case consultations and professional presentations. She has contributed to periodicals and provides public education through her guest appearances on talk radio.

Ms. Campesta currently has offices in Kenner and Covington where she provides psychotherapy and forensic services. Since 1999, she has been a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association. In 2004, Ms. Campesta became a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and is Past President of its Louisiana Chapter. Ms. Campesta is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Division.
